Movement is now more important than ever for young people. We live in an age where there is a significant and concerning rise in depression and anxiety amongst teens … It has risen in line with a rise in inactivity thanks to the widespread use of devices.
Exercise is the best thing to ensure a positive outlook about self, our bodies, and life. A large and growing body of research proves physical activity has significant benefits for young people. It’s proven to relieve anxiety and stress, improve mood, alleviate depression and make us feel happy. As a result, exercise is useful for preventing alcohol and drug abuse among teens.
It’s important to find an exercise that you like to do. If it’s fun, and you can do it with your friends, then you are more likely to keep going.
