So what exactly is Barre?
It is a class that combines ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training, and uses a ballet barre (pronounced BAR) It is also going to get different parts of the brain working, so you can put aside that school brain for a while. Step up to the barre and you will be taking a break from having to deal with the stresses of the school day.
Then there are the other benefits. You will activate your core, improve your posture, and increase confidence. It improves cardio fitness and endurance, is good for balance and coordination and builds muscle tone and strength.
The class is suitable for and welcoming of all levels, whether you have danced before or not. It’s also a great social fun thing to do with friends, so grab a friend or two and step up to the Barre.
